Dispatch information.

We endeavour to dispatch orders within 48 hours whenever possible.

This is due to the testing we carry out on all machines that our suppliers send to us. In some cases we will also ensure machines are sent with relevant tools or accessories so you can start using it straight away. 

If you urgently need a machine, and can see that we have stock, it is best to call our sales team, who will advise the shortest time we can have your order delivered to you. 

Orders placed on ‘back-order’ will not be dispatched within 48 hours, instead we will contact you and dispatch you of delivery time.

Dispatch Times

Orders are processed on working days (Mon-Friday) only excluding bank holidays, and subject to any force majeure event that causes delay outside of the control of Excel Machine Tools Ltd.

As guidance for orders under 30KG our courier dispatches orders from our warehouse around 3pm daily so please have your order to us by 1:30pm to allow for processing. Where possible we may be able to accept orders after this time, but any undue delay may cause orders to be dispatched the next working day.

Orders over 30KG are sent with our freight courier PalletLine, this size of order usually requires its own pallet for transportation. PalletLine usually operates a kerb side drop-off, and can off-load from their vehicles. In this instance we will notify you of estimated delivery times.

Delivery Charges

• For orders under £50 (Ex VAT) a delivery charge of £5.50 applies
  to all orders to the UK Mainland.
• For all orders over £50 (Ex VAT) delivery is free to the UK Mainland.

Our Delivery Network

We work with the best freight and courier networks to deliver your orders with confidence they will reach you on time, we endeavour to take every effort to ensure a smooth delivery process.

We use both DPD and Pallet Line for delivery of products across our range.

• For orders under 30KG we usually deliver through the DPD network.
• For orders over 30KG we Deliver with Pallet Line who operate a kerbside delivery policy.

Delivery Times

For UK Mainland orders are sent through our couriers and we aim to deliver on the

• Next Working Day (2-5 Days for delayed DPD Areas)

For Scottish Highlands delivery can take longer, we aim to deliver 

• Within 2-3 working days 

Orders will not be delivered to the above regions on Bank holidays,
or at weekends.

 International Orders

For the delivery of any international (Outside the UK) order we need to quote on an individual basis, this is due to the different requirements for Customs and Handling in each country.

Force Majeure

A “Force Majeure Event” is an event which is beyond the reasonable control and contemplation of Excel Machine Tools Ltd including but not limited to events commonly attributed to act(s) of God, war, riot or civil unrest, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental or regulatory order, rule, regulation, or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, tempest, disease (whether or not classified as an epidemic or pandemic by the relevant governmental authorities at the relevant time), industrial dispute (not involving the personnel of Excel Machine Tools Ltd), and/or any action or inaction of or by any third party supplier on whom the Seller relies for the performance of its own obligations.
